It's a Wonderful Life & It Will Keep Getting Better
Biographical Information
Edith Harvey was born on May 19th, 1973. She spent the bulk of her childhood in a house in Mt. Clemens, but she spent the first two years of her life in Roseville, Michigan living in an apartment. She spent the last 5-6 years of her "childhood" living in Richmond, Michigan. She has lived in Michigan all of her life. She is the oldest of 4 children (1 sister and 2 brothers), but her youngest brother was killed in a car accident in 2012. So, there are only 3 remaining children from her immediate family.
Edith was originally named Edith Elizabeth Schmuck before her marriage to Joseph Harvey in 1995. Her and her husband do not have any children, and they have both only been married once and that was to each other. She has lived near the New Baltimore, MI area with him since 2002. At one point they had 3 cats (Shadow, Princess and Midnight) and one dog (a golden doodle named Honey). They no longer have any pets.
Edith is a Hodgkin's Lymphoma cancer survivor. Her last treatment was at the end of March in 1996. The support of her husband, family, friends and faith were the main things that got her through a very trying time. She was only 22 at the time of her diagnosis, and she was just about to be married. Thanks to a wonderful man, she did still marry on time. As of 2020, they have been happily married for 25 years.
Schooling
Edith graduated with honors from Richmond High School in June of 1991. She went to Northern Michigan University for one year on a scholarship before returning home to go to Macomb Community College for 2 years. She had to leave school originally because work and class schedules just could not be mixed well. She could not afford to continue going to classes if she had to quit working. The year was 1993, and there were no online classes available. The internet was still in its more fledgling stages for personal and everyday use.
In January of 2020, Edith returned to school at Macomb Community College to work on the Accounting Degree that she stopped before and an additional degree in Web Site Design/Programming. She completed Spring/Summer classes as well as the Winter classes on the Prseisdent's List. She is currently enrolled in Fall 2020 classes.
