Loki star Tom Hiddleston is excited to show off the redeemed version of the trickster god in Season 2. He spoke to Variety about playing a character with a prominent redemption arc. The MCU actor has never been shy about how grateful he is to the fans for their support. It seems as though that pull between what the audience expects of Loki and how far he's come is what's driven that redemption. The Disney+ series circled around its title character. The first and second outings especially underline his journey through the MCU so far. But, in the last episode of the first season, it became clear that Loki had seen the bigger picture. His care for Sylvie made him do something unthinkable for the character in earlier appearances. He's obviously still got some of that roguish charm. But, it will be interesting to see how he plays on the hero side of things with such a grave threat dancing around the margins in Kang.
"I understand the audience sees good in Loki - they want him to get past his internal and external obstacles," Hiddleston began. "They want him to repair that relationship with his brother and step into the hero that he can be."
"He realizes, 'Actually, I can choose my path and choose to do the right thing. Or I choose, at least, not to repeat the same old tricks that I repeated over and over in a cycle of trust and betrayal.' It's exciting to retain all the characteristics that makes Loki, Loki, and at the same time to play slightly different music within him," the actor added.

Despite what we may want to believe, Tom Hiddleston's sister isn't Hela; it's Emma.
Tom Hiddleston is currently the driving force in the MCU. He's had a fanbase of Hiddlestoners ever since he debuted as Loki in the franchise, and they've put him on this pedestal to gawk and marvel at as his celebrity increases. But we forget that he had a long journey to where he is today, and it would never have happened without his sisters, especially his sister Emma (and of course Kenneth Branaugh, who discovered him).
So who is Emma Hiddleston, is she overshadowed by her brother, like many other celebrity siblings, and how did she help him get to where he is today?
If you're new to the Hiddlestoner club, you should know that the actor has fierce respect for women, and that's due in part to being brought up by strong women. He knew how to treat women from a very early age, thanks to his "strong-minded, independent" mother and sisters. They taught him what it means to support a woman as well. Eventually, when he got into the business, this was an attractive trait to many.

Shang-Chi superhero Simu Liu just won best action star of the year! But that's not important when compared to hugging Tom Hiddleston.
Tuesday night was a big evening for MCU stars at the 2021 Peoples Choice Awards. Tom Hiddleston, Scarlett Johansson, and Simu Liu won multiple awards - the Shang-Chi star took home his first Peoples Choice Award for "The Action Movie Star of 2021."
The actor was seen in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Marvel Studios' first superhero film featuring an Asian superhero. Simu's fans are incredibly proud of his well-deserved accomplishment, but it seems the Canadian actor is distracted about another fantastic event in his life, thanks to Marvel Colleague Tom Hiddleston.

Last night, Marvel and DC stars took home a ton of People's Choice Awards, including awards for Tom Hiddleston, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and the DC/Vertigo adaptation Lucifer. Along the way, Johnson and Hiddleston crossed paths and -- as you might expect from those two -- the moment was so wholesome and charming that images instantly made their way across social media. At the event, Johnson accepted "The People's Champion" Award, presented to him by Jeff Bezos, and while accepting his award, Johnson invited a Make-A-Wish recipient onstage as a surprise and gifted her his trophy. Hiddleston accepted the award for "The Male TV Star of 2021," while the crowd chanted "Loki!"
Both Hiddleston and Johnson stand out as the kind of actor who everyone seems to love, and where their costars regularly vouch for them being just as great in person. The two are both humanizing supervillains, albeit in different cinematic universes. Hiddleston stars as Loki, a role he originated in 2010's Thor, while Johnson plays Black Adam in a forthcoming movie based on the character.

Tom Hiddleston has been tapped as the male lead opposite Claire Danes in the Apple TV+ drama series The Essex Serpent, adapted from Sarah Perry's bestselling novel of the same name.
Written by Anna Symon and will be directed by Clio Barnard, The Essex Serpent follows newly widowed Cora (Danes) who, having being released from an abusive marriage, relocates from Victorian London to the small village of Aldwinter in Essex, intrigued by a local superstition that a mythical creature known as the Essex Serpent has returned to the area.
